Merrill D. Peterson papers [manuscript], 1975-2007.

The collection consists chiefly of research material and drafts for Peterson's publications, particularly "John Brown, the legend revisited" and "Lincoln in American memory." In addition there are photographs and art work for publications, professional correspondence and miscellany including a reel to reel film of a 1975 television interview on Thomas Jefferson and a disk containing a draft of his book on Lincoln.
